In my most recent post, I wrote: “I wish I could be one of those girls in a song about having a crazy night out with her girlfriends to forget her ex, and then *poof* ALL BETTER. But I’m not, and I never will be.”
It’s true. BUT, there are some really great songs by women artists about every stage of moving on, getting over it, and taking control that are worth celebrating. Even though it’s hard to picture myself in some of them, they’re still pretty empowering to listen to.
